Learn more about The Quaker School at Horsham.
Alex Brosowsky is Head of The Quaker School at Horsham, where he helps his students and their families shine by combining his extensive expertise in special education with the empathy he has learned as the father of a child with special needs.
An experienced teacher, learning specialist and independent school leader, Alex grew up with a family member with learning disabilities and witnessed the power of excellent independent school special education firsthand. He earned an MSED in Special Education from Hunter College and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership and Management from Northeastern University.
His professional and personal lives converged when, at 6 weeks old, his daughter Pearl suffered a hypoxic stroke resulting in a brain injury. Pearl, whose ballet skills have been watched by millions, is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, ADHD and learning disabilities.
When he is not leading TQS, Alex writes, hosts webinars and speaks at schools and professional associations across the country. He was once featured in Rock Climbing Magazine (his wife wrote the article), appeared in Mastering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu the 8 DVD Set, and walked from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 19 days.
